It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joan Mary Compton announce her passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility on Sunday June 2, 2013 at the age of 60 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Woodrow of 38 years; son Allan (Jean) of Ontario; 5 grandchildren: Angel, Nicholas, Amber, Nieca, Christopher; sisters: Angela, Madonna, Evangeline, brothers: Morris, Phillip, Frank, Albert, Wayne, Fabian; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Cornelius and Rita Power, and brother Anthony. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Tuesday, June 4th, 2013 from 7-9 P.M. and on Wednesday, June 5th, 2013 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral Service to take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, June 6th, 2013 at 2 P.M. with Pastor William Sampson officiating. Cremation to follow and interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
