William Vautour
VAUTOUR, WILLIAM - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William J. "Bud" Vautour, 72, who passed away with loved ones by his side at the Miramichi Hospital on June 3, 2013, after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Katherine Sullivan, one daughter Theresa Quimby (Bryan) and his cherished grandson John Quimby, one brother, Walter, several nieces and nephews and many friends. For 28 years "Bud" was known as the chip man as a franchisee for Humpty Dumpty chips in the Miramichi, working alongside Mary, Many of his customers becoming lifelong friends. In 1996, Bud followed his passion for golf and achieved a dream of owning a golf course. Once again, working alongside his wife Mary at St. Margaret's Golf Course, he enjoyed lots of hard work, many good times and many lifelong friends among its members. Although, constantly active, he took the time to stop for a chat, of a coffee, and for his loved one's a big hug, His passion for golf in the summer, curling in the winter, fixing broken things, spending precious time with his grandson and admiring old cars wherever he could find them was well known. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by 13 brothers and sisters.
William J. "Bud" Vautour is resting at Maher's Funeral Home Miramichi, NB on Wednesday, June 5th, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 6th, 2013 at 2pm from St Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, St Margaret's NB with Fr John Fraser officiating. Interment will be in St Margaret's Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the St Margaret's Building Fund or the Miramichi Regional Hospital Foundation Campaign.
