It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, of Thelma ‘Bea’ (Peori), 62, of Dominion announce her sudden passing. Bea passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at the Glace Bay Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Dominion, Bea was the daughter of William ‘Billy’ Peori and the late Elizabeth ‘Bessie’ (MacIntyre).
Bea was a member of St. Eugene’s Church, Dominion.
She was actively involved in many community clubs, such as the St. Eugene’s CWL, Dominion & Area Recreation Society and a former member of the Italian Ladies Auxiliary, Dominion. Bea also was an avid card, darts and bingo player.
Although Bea will be best remembered as a gentle, kind, loving woman who always thought of others before herself, she was a beautiful Mom, grandmother and extended that love to anyone that crossed her door.
Bea will be sadly missed by her father, William ‘Billy’ Peori; loving husband, Ray; sons, Jimmy (Jennifer), Victor (Sherri), Craig (Megan) and Raymond Vincent; sisters, Jean, Sheila (James); brothers, Carl (Denise), Allan (Donna); mother-in-law, Alice Berthiaume; sister-in-law, Lise (Andy) Renaud; eight cherished grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, as well as very special friends, Lisa Facchin, Cathy Gillis and Charmaine Blakeman.
Besides her mother, Bea was predeceased by her brother, Robbie Peori, father-in-law, Hervé Berthiaume, brother-in-law, Jinx Brooks.
The family are honouring Bea’s wishes. Cremation will take place. Visitation will be held in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay on Friday, June 7, 2013, at 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 2 p.m. in St. Eugene’s Church, Dominion. Fr. Daniel Boudreau will be officiating. A luncheon will follow the mass with interment at a later date.
