LOPEZ, CARLOS - Carlos Lopez, 67, of Notre-Dame, passed away on Wednesday June 5, 2013 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born on April 1, 1946 in Madrid, Spain, he was the son of Rita Navaro and the late Manuel Lopez. Prior to his retirement, Carlos was a chef with VIA Rail. Besides his mother of Halifax, he is survived by his wife, Margaret Beth (Dixon); his children: Buffy (Chris) of Eastern Passage, NS, and Carlos (April) of Notre-Dame; his sister and brothers: Ana, Joseph (Carol), Henry (Susan) and Jimmy, all of Halifax, NS; two grandchildren: Hayden and Kayleigh; many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Allard and the staff from Unit 4E at the Dumont Hospital for the wonderful care provided to Carlos.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated Tuesday June 11, 2013 at 2 pm. A reception will follow at the centre. Visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
