Rita Salsbury of North Granville and Clinton, died on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Prince County Hospital in Summerside. She was born Rita Elaine Halstead on April 24, 1922, in Alberta and was predeceased by her husband Lloyd. She is survived by her three children Gail (Tony) in Wolfville, N.S., Eric (Richard) in Richmond, B.C., and John (Betty Ann) in Halifax, N.S. She is also survived by her three grandchildren Ryan (Patricia), Michael and Ellie, and great-granddaughter Viviane. Also surviving Rita are her sister Norma (Bill) Novak and brother Bob (Lu) Halstead. Her family is extremely grateful for the extraordinary care Rita received while living at Clinton View Lodge and at Prince County Hospital. Memorial service at Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, on Wednesday, June 12, at 1 p.m. followed by a reception at Clinton View Lodge in Clinton at 2 p.m. Private family interment. Donations in Rita’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Red Cross.
