Gloade, Garry Joseph, 63, Millbrook First Nation, passed away suddenly, Thursday, June 6, 2013 in the Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth. Born in Truro, he was the son of the late Gerald Benjamin Gloade and the late Mary Bridget (Stevens). He was a draftsman by trade an artist. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Millbrook.
He is survived by his children, Tamara Gloade (Micheal) Millbrook, Garrett Gloade, Millbrook, Adria Gloade, Millbrook, Garry Dennis (Chloe) Eskasoni, Daniel C. Dennis-Gloade (Taylor) Eskasoni, Trina Thiesen, Ontario. He is also survived by 3 brothers and 1 sister, Gerald Jr. 2nd (Natalie) Vernon (Crystal) Adrian (Susan) and Margaret, all of Millbrook; 11 grandchildren; many Godchildren. He is also survived by his fiancée Doreen Young, Eskasoni and former wife Shirley Denny, Millbrook.
He was predeceased by his brothers Clinton, Danny, David all of Millbrook; sisters Nancy and Greta from Chapel Island and by his daughter Tanya, Millbrook.
Visitation is taking place at the family home of his daughter Tamara Gloade, 2 Spruce Avenue, Millbrook until Gary’s funeral service on Tuesday, June 11th at 11:00 am.in the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Millbrook. Father Dariusz Miskowicz will officiate with burial to take place at a later date in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Millbrook. Donations in Gary’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
