The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit, Prince Edward Home, on Sunday, June 9, 2013, of Mary Jane Grant of Kingston, P.E.I., age 62 years.
She is survived by her husband, Hubert Proud; children, Stephen Bell, Sandra (Steven) Forbes and their father Jim Bell; stepchildren, Sarah (Jeff) Wheeler of Wales, Jamy-Ellen (Mike) Klenavic of Halifax, N.S., Joshua (Amanda) Proud; eight loving grandchildren, Alex and Johanna Forbes, Enfys Wheeler, Sydney, Maggie and Allie Klenavic, Emma and Mason Proud; sisters and brothers, Eileen (Reg) Flanagan, Peter Grant (Kathleen Ross), Joan Grant (Tim McCullough), Mike Grant, Cathy Grant (Paul Price), Jennifer (Paul) Broadbent; sisters-in-law, Nora (David) Jenkins and Florine Proud. She was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Byron and Alice (nee Hagarty) Grant.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Wednesday morning then transferred to St. Francis of Assisi Church, Cornwall, for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in Kingston United Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Centre.
