Annie Dunbar
Annie E. Dunbar, 98, of Spencer’s Island passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the Aberdeen Regional Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Sand River, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Lila (McWhirter) Terfry.
She is survived by a daughter, Leah Ells (Dale), Advocate Harbour; sons, John (Pauline), Parrsboro; Lorne (Eva), Rexton, N.B.; sons-in-law, Darrold Currie, Advocate Harbour; Corbett Field, Northport; brothers, Arthur (Carolea), Truro; Cedric (Mary), Port Greville; sisters-in-law, Helen Terfry, Diligent River; Madeline Terfry, Parrsboro; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Alexander “Sandy” Dunbar; daughters, Ellen Currie and Roma Field; a sister, Elsie Graham; brothers, Wilfred and Wilbert; granddaughter, Rhonda Ells; grandson, Raymond Field; daughter-in-law, Eleanor Dunbar; son-in-law, Earl Field.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. Tuesday [June 11, 2013] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 2 p.m. on Wednesday [June 12, 2013] at Spencer’s Island Union Church, Rev. Cecil Symes officiating.
Burial in the Advocate Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Spencer's Island Union Church or to a charity of choice.
