Marion Malcolm
MALCOLM, MARION - Marion F. Malcolm passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, June 19th, 2013, at the age of 94. Born in Moncton on July 10th, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Frances (Wood) MacDougall. Marion’s first job was at the T. Eaton Co. Moncton, then Birks Jewelers Moncton, and completed her working years by managing the tourist bureau on Givan Drive Moncton. Marion cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and loved spending time with her family and friends. Marion enjoyed playing bridge and her time with the girls in the sewing club. Marion enjoyed travelling and all the new adventures she would discover. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her son David “Bud” Malcolm (Eva) of Shediac Cape, grandchildren Kira and Jennifer Close, Jana Malcolm (Blaine), Kelley DiServerio (Nino), and Andrew (Rebekah) as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marion was predeceased by her husband Donald F., her daughter Donna, brothers George, Charles, Vincent, Russell, Frank, Wally, and her sister Rowena Bursey.
A reception to celebrate Marion’s life, will be held at Rose Hall in Camden Park Terris, 55 Camden Crescent, Moncton, on Tuesday, June 25th, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation, The Canadian Cancer Society, The Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the 3600 unit of The Moncton Hospital for the incredible care Marion received during her stay.
