It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Russell Anthony Kendall, 84, loving father, grandfather and brother, on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at the Northside General Hospital.
Born in North Sydney, he was the son of the late Joseph and Florence (Gillan) Kendall.
He was employed with CN Marine in North Sydney, until his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, North Sydney.
Russell is survived by his two daughters, Joan Marie, at home, Florence, Halifax; four sons, Russell, Brampton, Ont., Harry James (Melissa), Sydney, Gregory, at home, Mark (Linda), North Sydney; his five grandchildren; his sisters, Edie Johnson, North Sydney, Florence White, Sydney Mines, Mildred Archibald, Ontario; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Joan (Scott) Kendall, and several of his siblings.
There will be no visitation by request. A private service will be held at a later date under the direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney.
