42, Charlottetown, P.E.I., passed away suddenly on Friday, August 1, 2008, while on vacation in the Iles-de-la- Madeline, Quebec. Born in Norris Point, N.L., David is the youngest child of Don and Rosamond Harding of Bedford, N.S. David’s passions in life were his family, friends, colleagues and students. David is survived by sons Andrew and Joshua and their mother, Debbie; his parents, Donald and Rosamond Harding, Bedford, N.S.; brothers Wade Harding (Karen) Bedford, N.S.; Dennis Harding, (Lorraine) Cambridge, Ontario; sister Glenda Eddy (Roger) Revelstoke, B.C.; father- and mother-in-law Ernest and Stella Bishop, Heart’s Delight, N.L.; sister-in-law Denise Noseworthy (Dave) Virginia, U.S.; brother-in-law Gregory Bishop (Valerie), St. John’s, N.L. David was the program manager of the Tourism and Culinary Centre of Holland College where he has worked for 12 years. David led a very active personal and professional life and was a member of numerous associations and boards. He was also in the process of completing his masters of business administration. David was instrumental in establishing the Culinary Institute of Canada as one of the premiere culinary schools in the world. He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews; Vanessa (Matt Butler), Jessica, Zachary, Christopher, Tyler, Natasha, Bjorn, Ehren, Erika and Nicholas. David’s funloving personality will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home until Wednesday afternoon, then transferred to Spring Park United Church for funeral service at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. Donations can be made to the Charlottown Bluephins Aquatic Club or a charity of your choice in memory of David.
