The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, of Burchell N. Singer of Kensington aged 71 years. Born in Kennetcook, Hants County, N.S., on Feb. 23, 1942, son of the late Alton and Lena (Robinson) Singer. Husband of Colleen (nee Scott) Singer. Father of Todd (Suzanne) Singer and Troy (Darcie) Singer. Grandfather of Julia, Katelyn, Mitch and Zach Singer. Brother of Marilyn Singer, Lorraine Singer, Kathy and (Robert) Blois. Uncle of Mary Kate, Annaliese and Damon Blois. Son-in-law of Mary Scott. Brother-in-law of Stuart (Ellen) Scott; Gwen (Dale) McNeill; Phyllis (Edwin) Young and Rita Parker. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father-in-law William Scott. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, where the family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Friday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment later in Kennetcook Cemetery, N.S.
