Peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Prince Edward Home on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 of Mrs. Clare Butler (nee Hennebery) of Charlottetown, age 86 years.
Beloved wife of the late Louie Butler and dear mother of Larry (Brenda), Louie, Peter (Yvonne), Mary Clare, Paul (Ivy), Rosemary MacArthur (Kevin) and Mark (JoAnne). She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Erin, Heidi, Ian, Stephen, Jeffrey, Ryan, Carolyn, Tim, Katie, Haley, Brett, Lucas, Ellen, Jenna, Alyssa, Charlie; her great-grandchildren, Meredith, Bradley, Owen and Avery Clare; sister-in-law, Sadie Hennebery; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by her parents, Mae and Ed Hennebery; brothers and sisters, Richard, Reg, Pius, Jack, Eileen, Pat, Joe, Mary, Phil, Art and Francis.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Saturday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Members of the Catholic Women's League will hold a prayer service at the funeral home on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
If so desired, donations in memory of Clare may be made to the P.E.I. Right to Life Association or the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
