It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alice Vera Keats announce her passing on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 79 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Glen Keats, Marlene (Greg) Barnes, Don (Lori) Keats and Brent (Wendy) Keats; daughter-in-law Ida; grandchildren: Jason, Leanne, Jennifer, Jacob, Jarrod and Nicholas; great-grandson Seth; sisters: Delilah (Irving) Fillatre and Linda Alexander; brother Basil Hulan; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Herman Keats, parents Cyril and Clara Hulan, brothers: Fred, Cyril Jr. and Augustus Hulan. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Thursday 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 5 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with Rev. Myles Vardy officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation or the Bay of Islands SPCA.
