The death occurred peacefully at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, of Robert "Bobby" Arsenault, Tignish, aged 85 years. Beloved husband of Theresa (nee Gallant) Arsenault of Tignish Senior Home Care Co-op. He was born in DeBlois on Nov. 5, 1927, the son of the late Eddie and Eva (Bernard) Arsenault. Dear father to Gary (Marilee) Arsenault, Waterford; Danny (Mary) Arsenault, Harper Road; Edward (Majella) Arsenault, Summerside; Roberta (Brian) Keefe, Brampton, Ont.; Cindy (Scott) Gardner, Georgetown, Ont.; Michael (Sandra) Arsenault, DeBlois; Donna (Joey) LeClair, Tignish and Allie (Tammy) Arsenault, Harper Road. Loving grandfather to 26 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers and sisters Bertha (Melvin) Buote, Tignish; Francis (Irene) Arsenault, Tignish; Howard (Sally) Arsenault, Oromocto, N.B.; Raymond Arsenault (Aurella), Tignish Shore; Ada Arsenault (Leta Gallien), St. Louis; and aunt Annie DesRoches, Tignish Senior Home Care Co-op. He was predeceased by his parents Eddie and Eva, brother Ronnie and grandson Tanner. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, for visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Friday 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral will be held Friday, July 5, at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish, with funeral mass at 1 p.m. Celebrant Rev. Brendon Gallant. Memorial donations to Western Hospital Equipment Fund or Tignish Senior Home Care Co-op or Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
