It is with great sadness that the family of the late Shirley Martin announce her passing on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013 at the Western Memorial Hospital at the age of 77 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving husband of 28 years Charles, sons: Barry, Darryl, Tony, daughter Gail (Lester Butt), sons: Junior, Felix, granddaughter Karen (Jody) Whiffen, grandson Trevor (Christie), three other grandchildren, special nephew Calvin (Rita), great- grandchildren: Andrew and Sean Whiffen, brothers: Gordon (Rita) and Eric (Cora) as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Cecil and Jessie Matchim. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Friday, July 5th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 6th 2013 at the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church with Pastor G. Coles officiating, interment to follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery on Wight’s Road. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Lung Association of Newfoundland and Labrador.
