Glen King, 49, of Cambridge, Kings County, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at home.
Born in Sydney Mines, Cape Breton, he was the son of Wallace and Adelaide (Thomson) King, Florence, Cape Breton.
Glen was a loving husband and father. He had been employed with Perry Rand Ltd. for a number of years and was presently employed with Michelin in Waterville. He was a member of Kentville Masonic Lodge No. 58 and a past member of the Annapolis Valley Gun Club. He was an avid golfer and an enthusiastic hockey dad. Glen was proud to be an organ donor.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, the former Pamela Usher; a daughter, Emily and a son, William; a brother, Allan and family, Erica, Nicholas, Curtis and Hannah, Wolfville; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Cheryl Usher, New Minas; sister-in-law, Dianne Brewer, Windsor; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2013 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, with a Masonic Lodge Service to be held at 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013 in the Cambridge Baptist Church, Reverend Doctor Judith Saunders officiating. Burial will take place in the Cambridge Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall.
