Harvey, Joyce M., It was with great sadness the family announced the sudden passing of our mother, on Monday, July 8, 2013, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born Joyce Merle Benedict, on March 13, 1936, in Windsor, she was the daughter of the late Stanfield Benedict and Ethel (Marsters) Bernier. Mom enjoyed life to the fullest, meeting people, and especially going to the “Jams” with her good friend and trusty travelling companion, “Betty Harvey”. She was proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Eldon (Sheila), Falmouth; Kathy (Stan) Berggren, Summerville; Nancy (Donnie) Harvie, Wentworth Road; Kevin (Dorothy), Windsor; grandchildren, Nicholas (Andrea) Harvie, Windsor; Josh (Billie Jo) Harvey, Windsor; Brandi Herbst, Summerville; step grandchildren, Laura Berggren (Russell), Sackville; Nicolle (Matt) Ans, Dartmouth; Alisha and Tari Berggren, Sackville; great grandchildren, Jermaine and Alley; step-granddaughters, Dakota and Hailey; brothers, Morris (Ella) Benedict, Wentworth Road; Dale (Sharon) Benedict, Avondale; sister, Faye (Clary) McCarthy, Three Mile Plains; step mother, Muriel Benedict, Dykeland Lodge, Windsor; several step sisters and step brothers; also many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Raymond (2000); daughter, Alice and son, Jeffrey, both in infancy; brothers, Clayton, Glen and Floyd. Visitation was 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service was 2 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Garnet Parker officiated, followed by a reception in the Lindsay Family Reception Centre, 184 King Street. Interment was held in the Ste. Croix Cemetery, Cemetery Road, St. Croix, Hants County.
