New Glasgow/Trenton - George Henry Ross, age 87, of the Glen Haven Manor, formerly of Trenton, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 in the Manor. Born in Trenton, he was a son of the late Henry and Ethel Ross. He served with the Canadian Army Engineers during WWII. Following the War, he became an electrician and was employed with the C.N.R. and Via Rail in Ontario until retirement. He is survived by his wife: Rose (Mitchell); daughters: Ellen and Laura, and their families in Ontario; sister: Myrtle McConkey, St. Stephen, NB; step daughters: Ellen (Barry) Corbett, Sunrise Trail; Adele R. (Ivon) MacKay, Abercrombie; step son: Harvey MacNaughton, Dartmouth; step grandchildren: Jace, Pictou; Brett, Bedford; sisters-in-law: Betty Milne, Woodburn; Verna Mitchell, New Glasgow; brother-in-law: Alvin Sinclair, Abercrombie. He was predeceased by brother Arthur. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A private burial was held in Hillside Cemetery with Mr. Fergie MacKay officiating.
