It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stella Grace Hinks of Port au Choix, NL, announce her passing on Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Northern Retirement Home in Port Saunders at the age of 81 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children Iris (Kevin) Greening, Pasadena, Bess (Ralph), Port au Choix, Valetta (Romeo), Port au Choix, Clary (Philomena), Port au Choix and Genny, Pouch Cove; grandchildren Todd, Robin, Jennifer, Melanie, Crystal, Stephanie, Peter and Kelly; great-grandchildren Tristen, Keegan, Adam, Jack and Dean; sisters May and Norma; brothers Bill, Lyman and Sam; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Peter, son Clary, son-in-law Blain, parents Robert and Olga Spence, brothers Donald, Ken and Robert, and sister Laura. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium, Pasadena. A memorial service took place on Saturday, July 20 at 2:15 p.m. at St. Thomas Beckett Anglican Church in Port au Choix with Rev. Paulette Bugden officiating. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
