It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Jones announce his passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the age of 87 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Sheila (Calvin), Don, Frank, Annette (Reg), Jim and Michelle; grandchildren: Kelly (Chris), Krista (Chris), Jamie, Debbie (O.J.) and Ashley (Trevor); great-grandchildren: Rebecca, Abby, Bailey, Hunter, Brooke, Desirae, Rihanna, Claire and Ashton; siblings: Evelyn, Len (Maude), Bob (Pat), Fred (Loretta), Norah, Bern (Josephine), as well as a large circle of nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Margaret nee: Gardiner (June 9, 2013); infant son Donald; parents Benedict and Honorah Jones; step-mother Susan Jones; brother George and sister Evelyn. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place from Sacred Heart RC Parish, Curling on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 10:30 a.m., officiated by Father Don Leonard. Interment will follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Diabetes Association, the Lung Association or to the charity of one’s choice.
