Paul William Joseph Rivett of Kamloops passed away on July 16th, 2013 at 88 years of age.

He is survived by his loving wife Anne Rivett, children Paul (Karen) Rivett of Scarborough, ON, Karen (David) Sancartier of Kelowna, B.C., Robert (Kathy) Rivett of Langley, B.C. and Alan Rivett of Kamloops, B.C. Paul is also survived by his grandchildren Samantha (Craig) Grignon, David Jr. (Christel) Sancartier, Crystal (Taj-Mercury) Kvam-Willson, Angela (Marlon) Cartier-Olesiejuk, Roxanne Scheske, Andrew (Jennifer) Rivett, Jessica (William) Rivett-Douglas, Matthew Rivett and Luke Rivett, as well as great-grandchildren Kya Cartier, Owen Scheske and Zaria Kvam-Willson.

Born October 22, 1924 to Pearl and Jack Rivett in Saskatoon, SK, Paul was the first of three children, followed by Marguerite and then John. Paul served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as an Air Gunner from 1943 to 1945. He met Anne in 1950, and immediately fell in love. Once Paul and Anne married, they had four wonderful children; Paul Jr., Karen, Robert and Alan. Paul had several jobs over the years, but after he received his First Aid training and became a Safety Supervisor, he felt he had finally found a calling. Life went on peaceful and normal for Paul from then on.

A Memorial Service for Paul will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 20th, 2013 at the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada, or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
