At the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home, Charlottetown, with her daughters by her side, Phyllis MacKinnon died peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2013. Born in Pisquid on April 19, 1931, daughter of the late John and Catherine (nee MacKinnon) MacDonald. Wife of the late Michael J. MacKinnon. Mother of Norma (Gerard) McDonald of Ottawa and Elizabeth (Greg) Dobbin of Pleasant Grove. Loving grandmother to Alexandra, Kieran, Anna, Maggie and Michaela McDonald and Madison and Hilary Dobbin. Sister of Norma Sullivan, Lois (Harry) Myers, Vivian (Jackie) Christopher, Ann (Wilfred) Richard, and Beverley (Gerald) McIsaac. Predeceased by siblings Sonny, Buddy, George, Velma and Beverley MacDonald. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Friday, July 19, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Members of St. Mary’s Holy Family CWL will be hold a prayer service prior to the visitation at 6:15 p.m. Funeral mass Saturday, July 20, in St. Mary’s Holy Family Church, Kensington, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Indian River. If so desired, contributions may be made to the St. Mary’s Holy Family Catholic Women’s League or the P.E.I. Humane Society.
