RYAN, JONATHAN - At the Saint John Regional Hospital, following a brief illness, Jonathan Ryan passed away unexpectedly with his family by his side on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of Michael and Heather (Williams) Ryan. Jon, as he was known to many, was a strong-willed young man with a passion for all things technical. He loved his computers and had a sense of humor second to none. He was kind and always willing to help someone in need. Jon's "Saturday Night Social Club" was very important to him. The group met weekly for fun and friendship and in recent years they travelled to Montreal for a wonderful adventure. Jon will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, Mike and Heather, Jon is survived by his sisters, Jennifer Ryan and Jillian (John) Archer; paternal grandmother, Joan Ryan; maternal grandparents, Walter and Jean Williams; best friend, Lisa; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jon was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, John Ryan; and his extra special feline friend, Sweet Pea.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visiting Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held Monday, July 22, 2013, from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm immediately followed by a reception at the funeral home.
