MELANSON, DONNA ROSE - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Donna Rose Melanson which occurred on July 18, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on December 20, 1940 in Saint John, NB to Stacie Boyle of Saint John and the late Donald Watson. She is survived by her loving husband, John William Melanson; mother, Stacie Boyle; step-daughters, Michelle Dunlop (Brian) of Mississauga, ON and Lorna Lawlor of Allison, ON; brother, Donald (Debra) of Saint John; sisters, Gloria Watson of North Bay, ON and Sharon Maguire of Saint John; brother-in-law, Paul (Mary) Melanson; several nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by father, Donald Watson. Donna was an Accounting Clerk with the Bank of Nova Scotia Date Centre for over 20 years and was a lifelong member of Silver Falls United Church. She enjoyed bowling with the Glen View United Bowling Team.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home (230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB) with visitation on Sunday, July 21 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm with a funeral service to take place Monday, July 22 at 11:00 am at Silver Falls United Church. Interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow at the Silver Falls United Church. Donations in memory of Donna may be made to the New Brunswick Lung Association, Alzheimer's Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
