Mr. Lou Hennessey of Ottawa passed peacefully in his 84th year on Tuesday, August 12, 2008, while receiving the last rites of the Church administered at the hands of his son, Fr. Brian Hennessey. Known to many through his practice in dental prosthetics as a caring therapist and talented technician, Lou will be remembered by all for his winning smile, pleasant demeanor, and an ability to put others at ease. A dedicated father and devoted husband of the late Mary Winifred (nee Mitchell), his focus was always on his family: Patrick (Peggy), Rev. Father Brian Hennessey, Owen (Mary Catherine) and Mark (Angela); and as “Grampa” to the eight grandchildren he so dearly cherished: Dylan, Meghan, Kerry, Amanda, Kayleigh, Breanne, Keane and Michael. Originally of Rochford St., Charlottetown, P.E.I., Lou was predeceased by his siblings Frank (Dorothy), Ambrose, and Bonnie Howatt (nee Hennessey).
