WEAGLE, MANFORD - Manford “Matt” St. Clair Weagle, of Grand Bay-Westfield passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia in 1937. Matt worked as a Pipefitter for Local 213 for many years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed spending time at his camp and with his family. He is survived by his children Chantal Weagle (Steve) of Grand Bay-Westfield and Manford Weagle Jr. (Andrianna) of Maryland, US; their mother Ginette Weagle (Angie) of Saint John; grandchildren Christopher Chase (Natasha) of Saint John and Melissa Chase (Chris Short) of Grand Bay-Westfield; their step-dad Leo Paul Chiasson of Nerepis; great grandson Brandon Short; sister-in-law Francine Levesque of Saint John; Goddaughter Nicole Cunningham of Grand Bay-Westfield and very special friend Georgina Stafford of Saint John.
Following cremation, a visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 5 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Manford made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
