Elva Melanson
MELANSON, ELVA - 1931 - 2013 - Elva Melanson, 81 of Sainte-Marie de Kent, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 24th, 2013 at the Dr Georges L Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton. She was married to the late Willie LeBlanc and the late Valerie Melanson. Born in Sainte-Marie de Kent, she was the daughter of the late Placide and the late Lina (Richard) LeBlanc. She will be sadly missed by her six children; Monique Léger (Donat) of Saint-Joseph de Kent, Charline Léger (Yvon) of Moncton, Marie-Josée Boudreau (Ronnie) of Dieppe, Irène LeBlanc (Bobby) of Saint-Thomas de Kent, Maurice Belliveau (Gisèle) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, and Joseph «Dodo» Mills (Rachelle) of Bouctouche, her six grandchildren; Germain, Joline, Martin, Jérémie, Yannick and Annabelle and her six great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her six sisters; Viola Nowlan (Patrick) of Saint-Joseph de Kent, Clarisse Richard (Omer) of Shediac Bridge, Lucille Bourque, Stella Girouard (Ulysse) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Angie Doucet of Leominster, MA, Huguette Arsenault (Fernand) of Fitchburg, MA, her three brothers; Clarence (Nathalie), Paul-Emile (Jeannette) and Léo all of Sainte-Marie de Kent, and several nephews and nieces.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Sunday, July 28th, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Monday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Monday, July 29th, 2013 at 4:00 pm with interment in the Sainte-Marie de Kent parish cemetery.
