Feb. 3,1927-July 23,2013. 86 years old of Bell Island unexpectedly passed away on July 23, 2013 at the Health Science Hospital, St. John’s. Predeceased by her parents William and Jane Parsons, husband Chesley Leonard, sons George and Leonard, brothers William Parsons, Hubert (Viola) Parsons, Joseph Parsons, George (Mattie) Parsons, sisters Lillian (Norman) Newman, Myrtle (Willard) Yetman, grandchildren William and Mylinda Gosse, and a very special friend Cyril Jackman. Left to remember all the fond and loving memories are her eleven children, Chesley Jr., (Marilyn), Gordon (Lillian), Donald (Winifred), Linda Gosse (Jerome Warren), Lorraine (William Butler), Sandra (Patrick Doherty), Irene (George Jackman), Clayton, Stirling (Margaret McLean), Lewis (Derrick Kearley), Madonna Gosse (Gerald Brazil); her loving sister Annie Martin, daughter-in-law Lillian Gosse and sister-in-law Marina Parsons, her 25 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, a large amount of nieces, nephews and friends. Heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all the Staff of the Health Science Hospital. As per Florence’s request, Cremation has taken place. No visitation. Funeral Service will be celebrated at the United Church, Bell Island, on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery , Bell Island.
