Edna Allison
ALLISON, EDNA - The death of Edna Elizabeth Allison of Miramichi Senior Citizen Home and formerly of Whitney, NB, widow of Percy Allison occurred at her residence on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the age of 91. Born in Newcastle, NB, Edna was the daughter of the late Cuthbert C. and Agnes (Mullin) Parks. Edna was a homemaker and was a member of the Whitney Willing Works, AMS (Atlantic Mission Society) and St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church. Edna loved to quilt and knit; her knitting provided items for the babies at the hospital. Edna is survived by three daughters: Amber McCluskey (Wayne) of Sackville, NB, Karen DeWolfe of Douglastown, NB and Darlene Hutchinson (Terry James) of Calgary, AB; one son: Paul (Mildred) of Quarryville, NB; three sisters-in-law: Edith Parks, Doris Parks and Elva Allison; nine grandchildren: Scott, David, Stephen, Donna, Marsha, Paula, Amy, Melanie and Michael; 12 great-grandchildren: Tristan, Jada, Megan, Brooke, Addison, Elizabeth, George, Eddy, Allison, Allisa, Wesley and Owen; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Percy, Edna was predeceased by one son: Blaine; two sisters: Jean MacCullam and Myrtle Weldon; infant sister; four brothers: Finley, Gerald, Edward and Russell; and one son-in-law: Wayne DeWolfe.
Visitation will be held at Bell's Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Winston Parks officiating. Burial will follow in the Boom Road Presbyterian Cemetery. In Edna's memory, a donation may be made to St. Stephen's Presbyterian Building Fund, Miramichi Senior Citizen Home or a memorial of one's choice. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Bell's Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB (622-3600).
