PINE TREE - George Edward Russell, 63, Pine Tree, passed away at home Friday, August 2, 2013.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Robert Hector Russell and Katherine Leona (Hatfield) (Russell) Chaisson.
He was employed with Gary Snell Construction and had been previously employed with Feit Construction for 15 years. In earlier years, he has been employed with Fred MacDonald Construction and Bill Weeks. George took great pride in doing his job well. He was a loving, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Susan Marie (O’Donnell); daughter, Rose Russell (Rubin Feltmate), New Glasgow; granddaughters, Brooke and Maggie; sister, Joann Priest (Bill Rae), Lyons Brook; brothers, Parker, Dryden, Ont.; John (Elaine), New Glasgow; Gerald, Calgary; Frank (Karen), Linacy; Jeffery “Jeff” (Annette), Dryden, Ont.; sister-in-law, Carol, Golden, B.C.; many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Steven.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
