ALLAIN, ADELARD - 1932-2013 - Adelard Allain, 81, of Baie de Bouctouche passed away at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent on Saturday, August 3, 2013. He was married to Doris Allain. Born in Baie de Bouctouche, he was the son of the late David and the late Beatrice (Maillet) Allain. Prior to his retirement, Adelard was employed with the Department of Transport. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Doris; his daughter, Jeannine Poirier (Bernard) of Baie de Bouctouche; his son, David, also of Baie de Bouctouche; his grandchildren: Mireille, Marcel and Guy; his great-grandson, Yanick. He also leaves to mourn three sisters: Lydia Jaillet and Yvonne Breau, both of Baie de Bouctouche and Irene Allain of Saint-Thomas; a brother, Alcide (Normande) of Baie de Bouctouche; and several nieces and nephews. Adelard was predeceased by a sister, Marie-Anne; and two brothers: Arsene and Albert.
Visitation held at the Maillet Funeral Home, 29 Rue De L'Église, Bouctouche on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 pm and on Monday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 4:00 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
