LeBLANC-ASHBY, MONETTE - Monette LeBlanc-Ashby, 47, of Riverview, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L Dumont UHC on Monday, August 5, 2013, following a lengthy illness with cancer. Born December 28, 1965 in Moncton, she was the loving daughter of Dolorèse (Boudreau) and the late Joseph ‘Chic’ LeBlanc of Moncton; the beloved wife of Peter Ashby; the loving mother of Kevin King (Michelle), and Kyler King both of Riverview; step-mother of Montgomery and James Ashby of Kentville, NS; dear sister of Tina Gemmell (Tom) of Moncton, Brigitte LeBlanc and Duane LeBlanc (Angie) of Riverview; special aunt to Ashley, Samantha, Tia, Kristen, Douglas and Joshua. She is also survived by her parents-in-law, Donald and Joan (Black) Ashby of Kentville, NS; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Vollman (Corey) of Edmonton, AB; and her four legged friend, Sparky. She devoted her life to her family, friends and work. For many years, Monette was previously employed at Jon Raymond and Villa du Repos.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 10 am. A reception at the centre will follow. Visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
