A good woman has died.
It is with sadness the family of Bernice Ingram announces her passing on Aug. 6, 2013.
Born in Neil’s Harbour on Aug. 31, 1927, she was the daughter of the late George and Emily (Fricker) Seymour.
Bernice was a patient and kind woman who tended to see the best in people. Her home was always open to family and friends and she was well known for her fabulous cooking and hospitality. She was a lifelong member of and tireless worker for St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Neil’s Harbour. Bernice was well known for her volunteer work and over the years she received numerous awards. She loved her community, church, music, food, but most of all her family.
Left to mourn are her husband of 66 years, Ron Ingram; daughter, Kathy MacKinnon; son, Ross Ingram; grandchildren, Karla (Trevor) Williams, Shannon (Matt) Christie, Ronald MacKinnon, Casey Lillington, Christian (Marie-Chantal) Lillington, Corey (Tiffany) Lillington; great-grandchildren, Tessa & Jonah Williams, Emilie, Mathis, Noemie & Alexia Lillington; special niece, Isabel Buffett; brothers, Kenny (Trudy) Seymour and Herbert (Winnie) Seymour and many nieces and nephews.
Bernice was predeceased by her son-in-law, Darryl MacKinnon; daughter-in-law, Ellen Ingram; sister, Tryphena Buffett and brothers, Charlie, Willis, Freeman, Herman, Ephraim, Elliott & Gordon Seymour.
Visitation will be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Neil’s Harbour today (Thursday), Aug. 8, 2013 from 2-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Friday at 2 p.m in St. Andrew’s Church, Neil’s Harbour, with Rev. Brenda Drake officiating. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Anglican Church or charity of choice.
