NEW GLASGOW – Catherine Ann (MacLennan) MacCallum, (Oct.17, 1949 – August 11, 2013) passed away peacefully in the Aberdeen Hospital with her loving husband and best friend John and daughter Julie by her side. Ann fought a long, courageous battle with cancer.
She was predeceased by her parents Wilbur and Florence (MacLean) MacLennan.
Ann leaves behind her grandchildren Alisha and Robert; her brother Fraser; step-sister-in-law Patsy Brow and many sisters and brothers-in-law in Ontario. Ann will be also missed by her long-time friends Virginia MacLeod and Pam Smith.
The family would like to acknowledge the many doctors who cared for Ann. Thanks to Dr. Farrell, Dr. Bradley MacDougall and Dr. Mowicki. A heartfelt thank you to the compassionate nurses at the Aberdeen Palliative Care Ward. Special thank you to the V.O.N.
At Ann’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Ann’s memory would be appreciated.
