Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizens Home in Carbonear on Sunday, August 11, 2013 in her 99th year. Predeceased by her husband Hans, her daughter Christiane, her sister Anne and her brother Karl. Left to mourn her son-in-law John Joy and her close friends Doris and Ted Murphy, as well as a number of nieces and nephews in Germany and friends in Newfoundland. Special thanks to the staff at the Interfaith Citizens Home. Cremation has taken place. Rev. Brian Colbourne conducted the funeral service at Bethany United Church, Carbonear on Thursday, August 15.
