Of Victoria. Passed away at the Carbonear General Hospital, Carbonear, Monday, August 12, 2013. Mr. Clarke was 84 years old. He leaves to mourn his loving family: wife Viola; daughters: Paula (Vince), Brenda (Sean), Faye (Derrick) & Dawn (Tony); sons: Melvin & Wade; grandchildren: Jeffery (Jodi), Leeann (Jeff), Craig, Kayla, Paul, Zackary, Melanna, Samantha & Wade; great-grandchildren: Tyler, Elin, Evan & Emerson; brothers: David & Desmond; sister-in-law: Lillian, and a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Predeceased: parents: Isaac & Mary Anne; brothers: Hanson, Gerald & Leonard (Ollie); sisters: Adeline (Solomon) & Dora (Jacob); daughter-in-law: Stacey; sisters-in-law: Annie & Jean. The funeral service will take place at the United Church & Cemetery, Victoria, NL on Thursday, August 15, 2013, 2 p.m. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Powell Drive, Carbonear, between the hours of Tuesday: 3 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m., Wednesday: 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m. & Thursday: 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Carbonear General Hospital.
