PIGOTT, Sylvia “Rose” (nee Reed), born March 8, 1932, in Shelburne, Nova Scotia, died in Calgary, Alberta on Monday, August 12, 2013. Rose lived most of her life in Nova Scotia, moving to Alberta after the death of her loving husband, Bob, in 2009. Rose is survived by five children, Marian O’Toole in Nova Scotia, Charles “Chuck” Pigott (Mary Ann), Carolyn Alberda (Bill), and Douglas Huskins (Debbielou) in Alberta, Harry Huskins (Susan) in Ontario, as well as her sister Carole Goulden (Roger) in Shelburne and sister-in-law Ruth Reed in Ontario. Many other family members will miss their Aunt Rose, Gramma, and Great Gramma. Rose had so many wonderful friends wherever she lived, and was forever a Nova Scotian. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Anyone wishing to donate to Rose’s memory is asked to think of Pet Projects in Shelburne, Nova Scotia, or the SPCA in Red Deer, Alberta. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, August 24 at 2 p.m. in Grace Baptist Church Shelburne for her east coast family and friends.
