The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, of Kathryn “Maud” Thompson of Charlottetown and formerly of Frenchfort, age 93 years. Beloved wife of the late John R. Thompson. Daughter of the late Seymour and Amanda (MacLeod) Taylor, Dundas. Maud is survived by her children Guy Thompson (Rena), Georgina MacDonald (Don), Heather Nason (Glen), Lorna Thompson, Donna Thompson and Glenda Mallett (John). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Cheryl Drake (Randy), Karen VanderKloet (Fred), Bloyce Thompson (Terri), Kimberly Lewis (Jeremy), Shelley Ployer (Glenn, deceased), Jennifer Linthorne (Joe), Sherri Nason (Orlando), Lori Nason (Ed Gillard), Benjamin Mallett (Kathryn), David Mallett (Amy), Robert Mallet (Jen) and Kathryn Mallett (Tyler) and by 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by her sisters-in-law Marion Auld, Bertha Brown, Helen Thompson and brother-in-law Hollis Thompson (Linda). Predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth “Bette” Marlene, grandson Donald “Paul” MacDonald, brothers Truelove Taylor (Bertha), Harold Taylor (Anne), Charles Taylor (Elsie), by her sister Emma MacLennan (William), and by her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Jean Vatcher (Leonard), Mildred Johnstone (William), Irving Thompson (Vi), Loren Thompson (Anna), Walter Auld, Robert Brown, Fred Thompson, Lila Roper (Rae) and Wilfred Thompson (Eileen). Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Central United Church Cemetery, Dunstaffnage.
