GRAY, CAROL HOPE - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Carol Hope Gray which occurred peacefully at her home on Thursday, August 15, 2013. Born 1947 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Lackie) McGrath. Carol worked as a psychiatric attendant for the Provincial Hospital for eight years. She worked for Robinson Carruthers for six years and the Centre for Youth Care for several years before retiring. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family and helping others. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 50 years, Francis; daughters, Cindy Gunn (Tommy) of Saint John, Carolyn Cook (Harold) of Saint John, Christine LeBlanc (Brian) of Rothesay and Candyce Tvedt (Harald) of Norway; brothers, Patrick McGrath (Sylvia) of Brantford, ON, Timothy McGrath (Odette) of Saint John, Alexander McGrath of Saint John, Kevin McGrath (Nora) of Nova Scotia and Terrance McGrath (Krista) of Saint John; sisters, Faith Gillespie of Saint John, Deborah Hutchinson of Saint John and Elizabeth McGrath of Saint John; grandchildren, Jennifer, Donnie, Aimee and Adam Cook, Andrew LeBlanc and Evan and Alex Tvedt; great-grandchildren, Bailey, Austin, Shelby, Gavin, Dominic and Damian; one aunt; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, Carol was predeceased by her brother, James McGrath.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A memorial service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 19 at 11:00 am followed by an interment at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
