It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marjorie Blanche Pike announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Thursday August 15, 2013, after a courageous battle of 14 years with ­cancer, at the age of 63 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: her beloved husband of 37 years, Darrell; daughter, Erin (Chad) Rideout; son, Chris (Lacey) Pike; Nanny’s precious grand-babies: Reese and Ty; brother, Ken Walls; sister, Marilyn (Keith) Kingston; brothers-in-law: Derek (Beth) Pike, Ed (Wanda) Pike and Reg (Pearl) Pike; her devoted and dearest friend, Patricia (Eugene) Small; as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by ­parents, James and Blanche Walls; ­parents-in-law, Neil and Sadie Pike; and nephew, Donnie Pike. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, Corner Brook on Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place from St. Michael & All Angels Anglican Church on Monday August 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Canon Roberta Woodman officiating. Interment will follow from Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Cancer Centre Western Region or St. Michael & All Angels Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
