It is with great sadness that the families announce the sudden passing of Rita House (nee Thornill), (April 16, 1936 – Aug. 15, 2013)
of Daniel's Harbour, NL, on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, on Route 430, T.C.H, at the age of 77 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children Allan (Lola), Rosemary (Jeff), Phillip (Rosemary), Eric (Lucy), Roland (Brenda), Muriel (Barry), Phyllis (Bruce), David (Elaine), Gregory (Alma), and Wavey (Brent); her grandchildren Wanda-Lee (Travis), Richard (Charmaine), Dana (Betty), Terri-Lynn (Grant), Riley (Barb), Patricia (Keith), Rochelle (Denny), Bruce (Kayla), Brad (Mandy), Dustin, Kenda (Darryl), Brook (Gina), Dylan, Jimmy (Michelle), Tracey, Eric, Lisa (Danny), Jenna (Lucas), Sarah, Angelina, and Ivan (Donna); Nan House was also surrounded by a large circle of great-grandkids; her siblings Margaret, Lavina, and Kevin (Marilyn); also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends, as well as a special friend of the family, Robert Hynes. Mother was predeceased by her husband Riley, daughter Margaret, son Samuel, parents Phillip and Helen Thornhill, grandson Jimmy, brothers Cyril, and Frank, mother and father-in-law Hardy and Myrtle House, son-in-law Wayne Perry and brother-in-law Walter Billard. As for Rita's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service took place on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 2 p.m., Holy Cross Anglican Church in Daniel’s Harbour with Rt. Bishop Leonard Whitten officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery in Daniel’s Harbour. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL.
