Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, George William Wheeler at the age of 76, in the presence of his loving family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years Kay Wheeler, daughter Tina Wheeler (Maurice Lucas), son Craig Wheeler (Elisa); grandchildren Ryan, Joshua, Megan & Devon; great granddaughter Leah; brother Jack (Marg), sister Diane Ross (Gord), special friends Rod & Sharon, Wallie & Yvonne, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. George was predeceased by his parents Sidney & Effie Wheeler, sisters Millie & Mary. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Saturday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Marks Avenue Monday, August 26th at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
