On a full-moon hot-August night -- his favourite kind -- Dave Anderson's 96-year journey peacefully concluded.

In a life built upon hard work (sheep herding/ranching, turkey farming, crop growing/harvesting, house building, family rearing) and "hard play," (water skiing, boating, hunting, fishing, canoeing, huckleberry-picking, old-time fiddling, horseshoe-playing, curling, trap/skeet shooting and dancing ), Dave, together with his wife, Alec, crafted a remarkable life of strength, adventure and exploration for his family.

Dave's patient demeanor, exemplified through joint endeavors with Alec (fly-tying, cedar-strip-canoe/boat/deck-building, gardening/ food preserving), must certainly have been tested by the seemingly-endless fish-line-untangling sessions of his family's early attempts to catch brook trout!

Above all else, Dave's work ethic, hammered home with every driven nail, will be his lasting legacy for all within his circle of influence, but now it is time for his much-deserved rest Ö

A Celebration of Dave's life will be held on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel with Reverend Teri Meyer officiating.
