BUCKLEY, SUSAN ELLEN - With her family at her side, the passing of Susan Buckley occurred at Bobby's Hospice on Friday, August 23, 2013. Susan was born on May 22, 1952 in Moncton to Robert and Pauline (Doiron) Logan. In 1959 they moved to Saint John, where Susan grew up spending her summer weekends sailing with her family on the St. John River. Besides her parents, Susan is survived by her son, Jeffrey Buckley (Sarah) of Quispamsis and his two year old son, Sidney; daughter, Amy Ellis of Saint John and her one year old son, Thomas; brother, Greg Logan (Nina) of Grande Prairie, AB; sister, Carolyn Healy (John) of St. George; aunt, Yvette Coyle (Bryce) of Riverview; uncle, John Doiron of Moncton; and several nieces and nephews. Susan worked as a Medical Laboratory Technologist at Horizon Health for 38 years before retiring in 2011. She enjoyed crafts, reading and traveling, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons. Susan would like to thank all who helped in her care, including Dr. Jane Ashfield who was always there and a special friend that made this difficult journey a little easier.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday, August 26 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
