LEVESQUE, SR. LORNA - Sister Lorna Levesque, n.d.s.c., in religion André-Marie, of Maison-Mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, Moncton, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013 at the convent where she resided following a short illness. She was 89 and in her 71st year of her religious life. Born August 31, 1923 in Grand-Sault, she was the daughter of the late Pierre and Cléo (Caron) Levesque. Besides her religious family, she is survived by three brothers: Ernest, André (Winnie) and Roland (Marilyn); two sisters-in-law: Eva and Grace; as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers: Colin, Norman and Omer.
Sister Lorna will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d'Acadie pavilion of the Maison-Mère, 125 King St., Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Tuesday from 9:00 am until the funeral mass. Solemn Vespers will be held on Monday evening at 7:00 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in the Maison-Mère chapel at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Memramcook.
