It is with great sadness that the families of the late Irene Barnes and her son Michael Power of Trout River announce their tragic passing on Tuesday, August 6th, 2013, at the ages of 50 years, and 11 years. They will be sadly missed by their parents/grandparents, Marketa and Roland Barnes of Trout River, sister/Aunt, Rhonda Barnes (Stephen Moon), of Orangeville, Ontario, brother/uncle, Jamie Barnes (Melissa McIver) of Trout River, niece/cousins, Ashley (Mickey), Malana & Hayley of Trout River, nephew/cousins, Jacob & Michael of Trout River, and a large circle of family & friends. They where predeceased by their grandparents/great-grandparents, Gladys & Essaw Barnes, uncle/great-uncle, Andrew Barnes, aunt/great aunt, Nina Crocker, Uncle/great uncle, Douglas Barnes, grandparents/ great grandparents, Sophie & Ambrose Brake, uncle/great uncle, Edward Brake. The family will be receiving family & friends from the Salvation Army Church in Trout River on Monday, August 26th, 2013, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, where also the memorial service will take place from on Tuesday, August 27th, 2013 at 2 pm with Majors Wayne Pike & Major Leighton Patey officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the church cemetery in Trout River, NL. As expressions of sympathy flowers & or donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice in Irene’s & Michael’s memory would be gratefully appreciated by the families.
