It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Effie Abbott announce her passing on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at her family residence in St. George’s, NL at the age of 87years. She leaves to mourn with loving memories daughters: Henrietta Bushey, Winnifred Young; sons: Richard, Edwin, Gordon, Terrance, Kenneth (Kenneth), Michael, Norman, Donald, Ross (Beth), David (Lisa), Robert; a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Gordon Colson; as well as nieces, nephews other family and friends. She was pre-deceased by her parents Peter & Beatrice Colson; husband AustinArnold Abbott; daughters Linda Beatrice Young, Gertrude Ann Garland and sister Phyllis Mugford. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, West Street, Stephenville Crossing on Sunday from 2 – 4 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary The Virgin Anglican Church, St. George’s with Reverand Canon Dawn Barrett officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery, St. George’s. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of ones’ choice.
