Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital in the presence of his family on August 28, 2013. Predeceased by parents Lemuel and Clara; brother Bram; sister Mabel (Hedley — deceased) Sooley; father and mother-in-law Willis and Marjorie Lundrigan. Leaving to mourn wife Shirley (nee Lundrigan) of 51 years; children: Trudy (Gene) Vokey, Darren (Jackie), Sharon (Glen) Kennedy, Rodney (Connie); granddaughters: Jessica, Crystalynn (Darren) Thorne, Stephanie, Jillian, Charmaine, Jenesta and Ericia; precious great-grandson Jackson Thorne; brother, Ellis (Gladys); sisters: Mona (Tim), Jean (Frank); brothers-in-law: Charles (Provie), Billy (Bella), Duane (Darlene); sisters-in-law: Pauline (Max) Reid, Marjorie (Edwin) Bishop, Betty (Lew) Cranford, Rose (Doug) Bailey, Carol (Ray) O'Dell, also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Holloway’s Funeral Home, Whitbourne. Visitation: Thursday, August 29, 2-9 p.m., Friday, August 30, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 2 p.m. from St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Whitbourne.
