Passed peacefully away with her loving family at her side, on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, age 86. Theresa was predeceased by her loving husband Sylvie, her parents Thomas and Ellen Finlay, her brothers Walter, Val and wife Doreen, sisters Ethel Stamp and husband Thomas, Frances Colbert and husband Robert, brothers- in-law Louis Pennell, Gordon Pennell and sisters-in-law Angela Blakeburn (husband Nelson) and Susan Power (husband William). She will be dearly missed by her children Sylvia (Dick) Blackmore, Mark (Denise), Neil (Martha), Brent (Ann), and Norma (Jack) Hensley. Theresa also left behind seven precious grandchildren whom she adored and loved: Neil, Blair, Matthew, Bruce, Lori, Jordan, Nancy and one special great-grandchild Emma. She will be sadly missed by her sister Eileen (George) Tobin, also by her sisters-in-law Nora (Thomas) Power, Marie (Louis deceased) Pennell, Florence (Gordon deceased) Pennell and Sr. Frances Pennell. Also left to mourn Theresa’s passing are her many special nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff and caregivers of St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for their wonderful care while she resided there. Visitation Friday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 1 from Holy Redeemer Church, Trepassey.
